Talk:Keelbug

Did it ever occur to anyone that this is not a Covenant species? I somehow doubt a creature whose only purpose in life is chopping up dead bodies really would have a place in the Covenant, much less understand the religion. I suggest the topic of "Deleted Covenant Races" be changed to "Deleted Species."

  • I really think that they should put this into the game, it would have been a way to keep the Flood from infecting dead bodies. Just my thoughts, it was too bad they weren't put in, same with the Engineers. I would've liked to have seen them. CaptainAdamGraves

You are right. This makes logical sense. If these things did this they could make the flood not AS deadly. They can still infect normal people. The Consumed ,The Dead ,and Living File:ESE.JPG|20px]] 05:08, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

but they have about the same service as the Engineers so if they had to chose, the engineers would be in these would be out --File:Final Goji.jpg|40px]] Lordofmonsterisland "Roar to me" 14:30, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

I have a vague recollection of a joke in The Bungie Webmaster's mailbox or H.B.O on why weapons and stuff could be found lying around everywhere after returning to the scene of a past battle but bodies seem to vanish all the time in the original Halo about some kind of tiny little elves or carnivorous something-or-others that nibbled away bodies, but that you never saw them because they were extremely shy. I imagine Keelbugs were probably a direct outgrowth of that joke, possibly meaning that Keelbugs WERE a joke. 67.180.206.34 03:06, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

I think it's a possiblity that maybe, just because they aren't featured in the game doesn't mean that they aren't a species in the series, maybe they could have inhabited a certain world or covenant world and that instead of cuting up the bodies they could have just carried the bodies to a certain destonation once they past away or randomly die. But thats just my opinion. User: GearsSoilder
