Legendary Planet

Ok so we see that at the end of Halo 3 that the Forward Unto Dawn (what's left of it) is heading towards a unidentified planet. We have an article about the planet. In the Halo 4 trailer, we see that John is awake and they are now REALLY close to it. The Halo 4 article should list the Unidentified Legendary Planet as the location for the time being. EchostreamFanJosh

Nope not Yet we don't know for sure if it's the legendary planet "A Penny saved is a Penny earned" 14:31, 6 June 2011 (EDT)
For all we know the FuD flew straight past the planet and found its way into a space station for the remnants of the Covenant.-- Forerunner 14:34, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

Ok let's look at it this way. The Foward Unto Dawn is floating towards, what we have labeled it the Legendary Planet at the end of Halo 3. You're suggesting that by possibly the power of God, that the ship stops floating towards it and heads towards a completely different Forerunner looking planet. EchostreamFanJosh

I'm making a point - we have no idea how long it's been since Halo 3. I also don't recall seeing a "Forerunner looking planet" - I saw a beam of light coming out of an object that we see nothing else of.-- Forerunner 14:47, 6 June 2011 (EDT)
Onyx wasn't made of rock, so no.-- Forerunner 15:33, 6 June 2011 (EDT)
since we don't have any confirmation that it is so then well leave it as such "A Penny saved is a Penny earned" 14:43, 6 June 2011 (EDT)
Frankie hinted, or pretty much confirmed it on a G4TV interview (around the 00:45 mark) that it's the Legendary planet. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 16:06, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

So wait, were these guys just orbiting the planet for god-knows how long? Vegerot (talk) 14:36, 7 June 2011 (EDT)!

They couldn't have been gone too long, since Cortana would be completely rampant (or destroyed in the case of being gone for a very long time). People, sometimes we don't need a slap in the face word from the devs to confirm stuff. Halo 3 had a cliffhanger ending with them floating toward a Forerunner planet. Then in the new trailer, they end up being sucked in to a very familiar planet with a whole new adventure ahead. That's pretty much saying "yeah, this is the same damned planet".--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 15:25, 7 June 2011 (EDT)

Not really, Cortana would have probably shut herself down as much as possible (i.e. Human Weakness) to avoid just that. And about what he said about the unlikeliness that they would find ANOTHER Forerunner planet; who knows how long it's been since we last saw the Chief? They could have been floating for CENTURIES, so it is not necessarily so improbable that they are at another planet. Especially considering how large the Forerunner Ecume spread. Vegerot.

  • But at the other side, we DON'T know how long John and Cortana were underway when we watch the legendary ending...right? —This unsigned comment was made by Bdgroot-117 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
Yep, we have no idea how long they've been floating when they approach the planet. Alex T Snow 19:08, 21 June 2011 (EDT)

M6G Personal Defense Weapon System

I can confirm it is used in-game because Forward Unto Dawn wouldn't have updated technology, unless somebody came on, and gave it to John-117 himself. -Spedster777, Administrator of the Saints Row wiki. 16:37, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

Halo 3 didn't have an M6G that fired explosive rounds either, which is what the pistol in the trailer seems to do. It's way too early to make the conclusion that a specific gun will appear in the game, especially when all we've seen is a pre-rendered trailer. So please stop adding that into the article.--Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 16:50, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

Or maybe 343 decided to screw us over and began to lay the nails in Halo's coffin. They're screwing all kinds of things over. -Whiskey Lima

I also added Trivia up there about what 343 did mess up with, but somebody removed them. -Spedster777, Administrator of the Saints Row wiki. 16:46, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

Again, we only accept information that is sourced and confirmed, otherwise it is regardled as speculation. The sidearm may very well look like the M6 but that doesn't necessarily mean its the M6G. Edit warring is unacceptable, do not resort to it or the page will be locked down. If you disagree, discuss on the talk page and make a conclusion. - Nìcmávr (Tálk) 16:51, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

Is it just me or did a rocket come out of that pistol? At first I though MC was just testing it or something, but after watching it about five times, I'm pretty sure he shot a rocket that blew up the wall ahead of him. Andrew996 16:47, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

Could be a tracer. Furthermore, what prevents the Forward Unto Dawn from carrying explosive M6G ammunition? Just because we never saw the pistol fire explosive rounds in 3 doesn't mean it can't. It's the same calibre ammo.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 17:16, 6 June 2011 (EDT)
It doesn't look like an ordinary pistol to me - more like a miniature grenade launcher. Watching the trailer frame-by-frame, one can see the whole upper part of the weapon flip open when it's reloaded. The "attachment" part seems like it could be the grenade it fires. There's also a small display on the side of the weapon and "rails" where the attachment - or grenade - goes, visible near the end when the Chief stands up. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 19:17, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

It's also worth remembering that everything in the trailer is still pre-production - for all we know it was just artistic license SPARTAN-347 17:21, 6 June 2011 (EDT)

Actually, the game has been in production at various levels for three years now as per Producer Ryan Payton, this trailer was using external CGI. User:CommanderTony/Sig

For the sake of completeness, we should remember that the M6 Sidearm series does indeed fire high explosive rounds, just not five-inch wide explosive canisters as the unidentified weapon apparently does. And I agree with Jugus: the weapon in the trailer does not seem to be a traditional pistol; rather it seems to be a cut-down or downsized version of a grenade launcher. As a side note, I believe it would also be beneficial to treat the "jetpack" as a hitherto unused integrated thruster pack designed for zero-gravity maneuvers in order to preserve equipment continuity. After all, except for Halo 2, we haven't seen the Mk VI MJOLNIR operate in zero gravity while under adverse conditions; and even in Halo 2, the camera was fairly far away. I know that there was never any mention of one, but we could have missed such a thruster pack's exhaust... Possibly. For your consideration, --Bruce2401 02:30, 7 June 2011 (EDT)

Well those two bit that stick out of the back do look like exaust ports, and they've never done anything before, so it could very well be a built-in jet pack, that he hasn't needed to use until now. The grenade launcher looks like it's based off of the M6 series, and there are a lot of variants. Alex T Snow 04:04, 7 June 2011 (EDT)
^Agreed on the pistol/launcher Alex. The two are probably in the same series. Haha, anyone feel up for an M6-Doorbuster? I feel I should clarify my view on the thrusters: they would be specifically designed for zero-gravity, not as a "jump pack" like in Halo: Reach. They're easier to explain away in that case. --Bruce2401 07:08, 7 June 2011 (EDT)

It was my understanding that the pack on the back of the MJOLNIR Mark VI Powered Assault armor was the nuclear reactor that powered the assault armor (thus the name powered assault armor). But could it be possible that the reactor could vent a small amount of its energy, therefor "thrusting" itself like a thruster pack? And about that pistol. Guys, do you know how much 500 years is? I'm sure that the UNSC have developed ammunition that is capable of making an explosion that of a modern day grenade (or bigger, considering that that explosion happened in space)Vegerot (talk) 13:32, 7 June 2011 (EDT)!

*Sith'ari drools over possibility of .50 calibre pistol rounds with the power of 40mm grenades*. Does this suggest that the Semi-Armour-Piercing, High-Explosive rounds fired by the M6 series have a variable yield?--The All-knowing Sith'ari 13:36, 7 June 2011 (EDT)
Wow, didn't think of that. *imagines a little computer screen that John punches numbers into to make a big explosion* Hell yeah! Vegerot (talk) 14:23, 7 June 2011 (EDT)!!
^ I was watching the trailer on a 48-inch screen at 1080p, the attatchment that John-117 places on the weapon at the end is actually another round, there was no traditional bullet. That thing looks to be at least two-by-five inches; I think we should treat it as some form of grenade and not a HE bullet. Vergerot: good point. If the suit vented some of it's energy by heating an onboard reservoir, NOT the oxygen supply, and then blew it out of those two ports then that would make a very effective T-pack. But the two vents that extend on on the dorsal side do need to be explained, so I would say the suit has an integrated thruster and does not merely vent gas to behave as though it does. --Bruce2401 18:49, 7 June 2011 (EDT)

Or it could be both of them combined. Like the heating in your car, it vents the heat to it, and it heats the reseviour that thrusts the person. So it is not like it was something that John improvided on the spot (but you do have to give John some credit, I mean, he just woke up and then he did all that maneuvering and crap on the spot (and Cortana too, as she speeds up his reactions). Vegerot (using the iPad, and I can't figure out how to. make thet signature symbol)

If one were to read Ghosts of Onyx one would realize that all apartan armour has intergrated thruster packs.Sierra259 11:02, 29 June 2011 (EDT)

^ Are you speaking of how Ackerson got hold of Liutenant Kurt Ambrose by means of sabotage? Those were add-on packs, not integrated. If you're referring to something else please reply with a chapter number or something; that'll provide some much needed context. Thanks!--Bruce2401 01:14, 30 June 2011 (EDT)

New info

It's found here: http://halo.xbox.com/forums/general/f/14/t/8274.aspx

I think it's safe to say it isn't canon until otherwise confirmed? But I do think it gives some nice stuff to talk about either way. Personally I like that plot very much, finally fighting other humans and possibly a new Alien race neither Covenant, Human, Flood or Forerunner :D. The Needle Launcher isn't something new, it has been speculated and cut since halo 3. --Thijsbos 05:39, 10 June 2011 (EDT)

It's made up. Confirmed by Frankie. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 05:54, 10 June 2011 (EDT)

Chief's Armour

I'm just asking if it is worth adding a note about chief's armor to certain articles. I understand that artistic liberties have probably been undertaken the trailer depicts an almost new or upgraded suit of armour (changed helmet, chest, gauntlets, legs, jetpack). As some artiles have speculative sections, I'm sure an educated, carefully constructed section in regards to this is necessary pending further information. SomethingDifferent 19:52, 12 June 2011 (EDT)

The rest of the gang.

I strongly remember that Kerin Travis was going to be continuing the Master Chief's AND the other SPARTANs' story. So from the trailer one could arguably assume that that series was scrapped. But the question is if the basic plot will be transferred. I honestly hope not, because if these SPARTANs take off their armor every other second I'm gonna have a bf (you got to see White Chicks, funny movie!). Vegerot.

The novel series is set after the end of the war, and doesn't centre around the GoO gang or John.-- Forerunner 00:12, 13 June 2011 (EDT)
If it's still happening at all, that is.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 09:25, 14 June 2011 (EDT)
Just because Eric Nylund can write a bestseller in seven weeks doesn't mean that everyone else can. It took quite a while for Halo: Cryptum to come out after its announcement and the less said about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the better.-- Forerunner 10:10, 14 June 2011 (EDT)

New info from Frank O'Connor

This video is an interview with Frank, he gives some info about Halo 4 towards the end and offers a few brief tidbits concerning Master Chief's new look and mentions that the game is not immediately after Halo 3. I'm not sure how to go about adding this info to the article but I thought I'd let everyone know--Soul reaper 09:45, 22 June 2011 (EDT)

Mark VII maybe? It would have to be Mark VI in the trailer, but some point later in the game he could get Mark VII, as evidenced by the very different-looking armor on the cover picture. Honestly, it could be anything at this point. We really don't know much more than we did in 2007.--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 15:41, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
Though Halseys journal mentions a possible Mark VII we don't have any official source confirming the existence of one. And immediately after Halo 3 would mean it's like a day later. By saying "not immediately after Halo 3" basically means some time has passed since then and we all know John was in cryo for at least four years as seen in Halo Legends. 1234fansofHalo 15:51, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
I'm leaning toward the Mark VII idea, because of the new look, because it's a new trilogy, because they bothered to put it in the journal, and because it's 7. Alex T Snow 17:19, 18 July 2011 (EDT)

Hi guys. I'm new at this so forgive me if it seems noobish. I personally don't think it is MJOLNIR mk.7 ARMOR for the simple reason there isn't any proof that it's made already. My theory is he (John) uses mk.6 armor until, untill he will get some kind of Forerunner Combat skin. I base those findings on a couple of reasons:

  1. There is concept art for the forerunner combat skin.
  2. John expresses how much he would like to wear above mentioned armor in either HALO COMBAT EVOLVED or HALO THE FLOOD.

Mendicant Bias

Can the new enemy be the rampant forerunner AI Mendicant Bias? --8032 15:52, 2 July 2011 (EDT)

It could be anything. We have no idea at all at this point. Everything we know if on the page already. --DKong Talk Cont 15:56, 2 July 2011 (EDT)
Well, the last Halo 3 terminal shows that Mendicant Bias is no longer on the Flood's side. It's unlikely that he would be your enemy because then the entire game would be about fighting Forerunner sentinels, and they wouldn't do that. They know we need blood...--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 16:04, 2 August 2011 (EDT)

343 Team

I heard that 343 hired people that worked on Killzone, Star Wars Battlefront and Metroid Prime, as well as the composer for Castlevania. Is this true?

Ok, that is likely true. Microsoft has recruited people from gaming studios all over the place for 343i. Former Bungie employees included. However, 343i has never done anything but Halo. OK, thanks. Somebody should put this in the Halo: Anniversary, Halo 4, and 343 Industries pages. I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night. Vegerot (talk) 21:32, 6 August 2011 (EDT)!!!!!!

I'm only worried about the composer. His work on Castlevania is merely decent (I went and looked it up). He only produced and didn't compose anything for MGS. I hope he's actually a good composer, or if not at least he can properly choose which earlier soundtracks to place in Halo 4. I'm okay with the rest of the team (although Killzone seems like a dubious choice, as does Metroid Prime).

I agree, I hope the music is good. Good music is half of what makes this series so great! Alex T Snow 07:21, 8 August 2011 (EDT)
THe guys from Retro studios have shown that they can adapt to different styles of games, I think they'll fit in easily. Who's the composer?--210.56.81.249 07:27, 8 August 2011 (EDT)
Since some guys from Retro Studios are in it, it makes me think that we might be solving some Forerunner puzzles inside the Legendary Planet while we're fighting enemies. --XSuperGamerTalk 16:18, 13 August 2011 (EDT)
That's like saying the only thing Blizzard employees can make are MMOs, when they've proven themselves very adaptable in other genres. It doesn't necessarily follow. I'm sure whatever 343i have cooking will be of a high standard, whatever it is, regardless of where the people working on it came from. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 22:44, 14 August 2011 (EDT)
Well actually we don't know who the composer is yet because as of now the job title merely states "audio director". But since Marty was also audio director, and most video game audio directors end up being composers (besides, they wouldn't announce the audio director before the composer) it's very likely that the composer for Castlevania will be the composer for Halo 4.

Halo Fest

I don't know how to put a source for this with a touchpad but if you search Halo 4 on Google News, an article on Kotaku states that they have found a panel at Halo Fest for Halo 4, with concept art depicting alien environments and a spacecraft. There's a video to substantiate this. I don't think it's important enough to warrant an edit to the article but just to let you know.

Is this it?--The All-knowing Sith'ari 09:12, 28 August 2011 (EDT)
343 Industries have just happened to have released some of the concept art of that Panel onto their YouTube account: YouTube: Halo 4 Concept Art Glimpse

I just uploaded all of those concept images:

So should we incorporate these into the gallery?--Brute Honour Guard File:HGBrute.jpg|20px]] ("Talk") 15:07, 28 August 2011 (EDT)

Line Installation?

I'm thinking that the Legendary Planet might be a Line Installation. Looking at the new concept art, the opening sucks in ships and there was wreckage of at least a dozen ships visible on the inside. Also that creepy thing with the red eye at the end could easily have been on of those tenticle things that grabs the survivors to test for Flood immunity/cure. We also know that Anniversary's Terminals will tie in to the Halo 4 story, and Spark make some strange remarks about his previous assignment, and we know that Line Installations have a monitor. This would also be an excuse to have Human allies, weapons, equipment, and vehicles, with them being trapped there and left from the crashed ships. They could also have Covenant enemies, even Elites, as they would probably know nothing of the end of the war, the Brute's takeover, and the Covie Seperatists. It's also possible (though this is complete speculation) that the Spirit Of Fire could have gotten sucked in and those characters could play a part. Given that 343 likes to use stuff from ALL of the Halo universe, and tie stuff together (terminals, Halo 4, the two new books) when Bungie almost never did, this seems quite possible. Alex T Snow 18:56, 28 August 2011 (EDT)

This is probably the best theory I've heard, and if this isn't the story, it would still make a damn good one. However, the fact remains that 343i says that the Chief will be facing a new enemy. There is nothing new about these enemies. At any rate, since this is speculation, it should be made into a forum, not on the talk page of Halo 4. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 21:51, 28 August 2011 (EDT)

Director's Cut

The supposed director's cut of the Halo 4 trailer, well, I'm pretty sure it's a w.i.p. trailer made sometime before E3 to give clients an idea of what the finished product would look like. My evidence is as follows: 1. Sound Effects. The Sound effects in the trailer are thrown together from existing sound files. For example, the booster pack used the Halo Reach jetpack sound effects. The over all sound effect work is less than good at best. 2. The music sounds like a stand in score. I'm pretty sure it' stock music, too.

Anyway, we should consider that it was not a final trailer, but an early render to give the clients (343i) an idea of what the final product may look like. Toa Freak 13:04, 31 August 2011 (EDT)

Master Chief

Ok to those who have read the halo books should be confused as i am, cause it says how he hates being in space but yet he's doing mean as stunts in the halo 4 trailer. Strange aint it? SPARTAN-225 22:32, 1 October 2011 (EDT)

Not at all. Just because he doesn't like it doesn't mean he's not good at it. He's a Spartan - built for battle, bred for war. Trained as a child to be the best soldier ever fielded by the human race, equipped with technology a century ahead of its time. Plus, this is John - the man who was chosen for his luck. He is the best at virtually everything he does. And that is why we love him. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 23:28, 1 October 2011 (EDT)
Not to sound like a total suck up, but I had a few tears after reading that depiction. Well done Specops. By the by: it is stated by John in the books that every Spartan had zero-gee training but only a few were ever truly comfortable in space. --Bruce2401 04:11, 2 October 2011 (EDT)

Human and Covenant Weapons

This got me thinking for awhile. If John and Cortana are stranded on an unknown Forerunner planet out of reach from human and ally Covenant contact, how exactly are weapons going to play out? Will most of the human and Covenant weapons be scrapped and exchanged with Forerunner tech due to the only possible location to find weapons that players would recognize being in the wreckage of the Dawn? I'm surprised that any haven't found too many discussions regarding this. --RadicalEdward2 14:39, 20 October 2011 (EDT)

I dont care as long as theres stickys. BushWookieCamper 14:47, 20 October 2011 (EDT)
I like the idea that the player would have to scavenge for weapons in the Dawn, until they make contact with friendly forces. If they go the route ODST went, and made an enormous landscape hub world, then you might have to return to the Dawn periodically to resupply between missions, unlocking new parts of the Dawn as Cortana gets around to it. I also like the idea of new weapons - not too new, of course, since there are some arsenal staples that are simply a must. The Warthog, for example, and the assault rifle. And, of course, anything that has been canonically replaced can still be accessed on the Dawn. We know that Johnson and the Arbiter took samples of the others' weaponry to familiarise themselves with, so older Covenant weapons would plausible be available still. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 18:47, 20 October 2011 (EDT)

It is important to remember that we have no idea what this planet is exactly. We still don't know what the interior of Onyx is like (a pressumably similar place). That's where I think the "ressonant connections" with Halo 4 will be in Glasslands. We're not even entirely sure what the shield worlds were used for. We assume they were used to shield the Forerunners from the Halos, yet none of the Forerunners survived. So what WERE they used for?

This is a very rich place for 343i to write a story that allows us to use the old weapons. There is no way to predict what they'll come up with. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 20:25, 20 October 2011 (EDT)

I'm not sure, it would be interesting to see Forerunner weaponry. But it would be kinda overpowered, more like REALLY overpowered. I also don't see how a human and a weak ancilla could operate Forerunner weaponry to its full extent (for example, we see that Forerunner can shape their hard-light weapons mid-shit, Cortana can defiantly not calculate operations that quickly). Release Date

Hey guys, I was at GameStop buying Skyrim and I decided to look through the book they keep out front that has all the release dates of future games in it and lo and behold the first thing that I happened to spot was the title Halo 4. It said that it was being released on November 2nd, 2012. This information may not have been released publicly but maybe given to retail stores and GameStop just so happened to display it in this handy-dandy book. I put in the necessary information to the necessary pages but I'm not sure how to cite it. I just used the Citation Needed template for now. If anyone could know what to change it to that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! - Ιι Ηη Ππ 22:00, 2 January 2012 (EST)

As far as I know, the industry does that kind of thing often, picking a "likely" release date as a placeholder until the official date is set. Halo has a history of September/November release dates, so it's a reasonable guess. I don't know that they're privy to information the fans are not, but until we have official confirmation we should regard it as just a rumour. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 22:05, 2 January 2012 (EST)

On the Halo 4 project page Release Date is Holiday 2012, but look at this: http://halo.xbox.com/blogs/Headlines/post/2012/01/19/McFarlane-Toys-Brings-the-Entire-Halo-Universe-to-Collectors-with-Halo-Micro-Ops.aspx
"This fall, Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries are releasing Halo 4, the highly anticipated video game expected to be one of the top entertainment launches of 2012. McFarlane Toys is proud to announce that its best-selling line of Halo action figures continues this fall as well, with figures from Halo 4."
So, are they really moving release to this fall? I guess, we'll see it a short time. PatrickRus 18:58, 20 January 2012 (EST)

Technically, fall goes almost all the way into December, so it's not an error. Sign your comments.--Spartacus TalkContribs
Sorry, I thought, I did. Signed that one too now. PatrickRus 18:58, 20 January 2012 (EST)

Toy release

Should the release for the figures on January 24th be in the article

No.--Spartacus TalkContribs

It seems worth mentioning. Jac0bBau3r1995 21:40, 18 January 2012 (EST)

It's already mentioned in the trivia section. It doesn't belong in the body of the article, though. --Courage never dies. 22:55, 18 January 2012 (EST)

Oh. So it is. 165.138.37.177 07:49, 19 January 2012 (EST)

Toy Figures

Let's hope, aside from seeing Master Cheif, Cortana, and a New Warthog, that we see someone/something "special" like maybe a forerunner (or other...) vehicle and/or character, just something different to help us speculate further rather than being left in the dark...again.--Killamint 18:09, 24 January 2012 (EST)

My guess: it will be marines. LOL.—This unsigned comment was made by PatrickRus (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
Haha, I don't think they would make a figure of just a regular marine, maybe an ODST they would.--Killamint 15:09, 25 January 2012 (EST)
Why not? They released regular ones for H3 and Reach. Well, ODST is not a new thing, but at least interesting. Also, here where I live is already 26th. PatrickRus 17:22, 25 January 2012 (EST)
Yeah, I just realized that...You in the UK? Any info on the figures? I'm constantly checking at this point but haven't found anything posted.--Killamint 18:50, 25 January 2012 (EST)
Russia, GMT+4, and no info on Waypoint yet. PatrickRus 19:18, 25 January 2012 (EST)

Guys, just a note, try not to social on talk pages, people might remove it because they are not "contributive"... I would buy the new Warthog replica :P It looks pretty cool in FM4. —S331 Bubbleshieldhud.svg(COMMission LogProfile) 21:24, 25 January 2012 (EST)

I were not actually trying... but anyway, 25th should be everywhere now, and still no info about figures? I googled, and the Toy Fair is 24-26. So we still have 1 day. As we get some pictures, could anybody post links somewhere here? PatrickRus 21:47, 25 January 2012 (EST)
@Spartan331 Okay you say try not to "social"-lize, yet you switch-up and say "I would buy the new Warthog replica"? Isn't that socializing? If I had info to contribute then I would but right now I have nothing and can only wait until someone post something. Not angry at you dude but seriously, this entire discussion page is about socializing about whats to come in Halo 4 based off our speculation. Am I wrong? Once official information has been released it goes in the article.--Killamint 13:07, 26 January 2012 (EST)
  • Good point, Killamint!--Bdgroot-117 15:47, 26 January 2012 (EST)
I don't consider this kind of talk to be the "social" kind that should not be on talk pages. Social talking is off-topic, barely on topic, or theory's about what might happen (unless there's really strong evidence). When it comes to Halo 4 (etc), we're all excited, and all of this is an example of something that isn't off topic, we're trying to gather info on the toys that are supposed to have been shown to see if we can gather any new info on the new game/trilogy. Alex T Snow 17:13, 26 January 2012 (EST)
  • Thanks Bdgroot...Agreed Alex. And with that being said, I'm not going to post anything else until I see those figures. It's the 26th and I haven't seen/heard anything yet, so I'll patiently wait for Waypoint, Halo4follower, or the wiki itself to have something posted.--Killamint 17:41, 26 January 2012 (EST)
@Bdgroot-117, Killamint, PatrickRus, Alex T Snow: He means the way you are talking, wishing what is going to be in the game, using "LOL", etc. This isn't the point of a talk page. A talk page is meant to discuss the article and nothing more. If you want to talk to each other about what action figures you're hoping will be made, then take it to your talk page or message each other through the message board. This isn't the place.--Spartacus TalkContribs
Oh, yeah I totally agree with you there Spartacus. :) Alex T Snow 20:27, 26 January 2012 (EST)
Exactly my point. Thanks for clearing it up, Spartacus. What I meant was talk pages are for discussing topics that would contribute to the article, and not talking about what you want or hope in the game. Sorry if I confused you guys. —S331 Bubbleshieldhud.svg(COMMission LogProfile) 21:40, 26 January 2012 (EST)
Oh, and the reason why I "switch-up and say 'I would buy the new Warthog replica'" is because I don't want to sound like an a-hole bossing people around, so I decided to talk about what you guys were talking about. Now I sound like a hypocrite. Maybe I should have sounded like an a-hole bossing people around instead. ): —S331 Bubbleshieldhud.svg(COMMission LogProfile) 21:51, 26 January 2012 (EST)
Hahahaha :) Alex T Snow 01:23, 27 January 2012 (EST)

  • So three companies (Jada Toys, Re:creation, and McFarlane Toys) are making items for Halo 4? Should McFarlane Toys & Jada Toys be mentioned in the trivia section?--Killamint 11:57, 27 January 2012 (EST)
Re:creation are partnered with Jada. They're handling the distribution in the UK and Ireland.--210.56.91.87 20:34, 27 January 2012 (EST)
It's already mentioned.--Spartacus TalkContribs

Who ever continues to ad the part about the 24th needs to stop. They weren't shown they were only speculation as far as I know. But they didn't show Halo related content at the fair. Jac0bBau3r1995 10:34, 30 January 2012 (EST)

Ok fine. You could have stated that in your edit summary.--Spartacus TalkContribs

I'm still learning how to use this site. I have no clue what I'm doing so I try to keep it simple. Jac0bBau3r1995 14:04, 30 January 2012 (EST)

Whatever you type in the small box right above the "Save Page" button is the Edit Summary. If you go into the history of the page to compare, say, what's been changed since you last were at the page, Edit Summaries can be seen beside each version, if the person wrote one. :) Alex T Snow 16:00, 30 January 2012 (EST)

Wonderful Microsoft is doing something about the false beta sites. Any thing you think we could work into the article? Jac0bBau3r1995 10:48, 1 February 2012 (EST)

Keep it mind that this is a prototype, not the actual figure yet. :) —S331 Bubbleshieldhud.svg(COMMission LogProfile) 10:44, 13 February 2012 (EST)
The helmet looks very The Package-y, I like it :) Alex T Snow 15:49, 13 February 2012 (EST)
Is it just me or does this toy look a little altered from the armor in the awakening trailer? Like the shoulder plates are low as heck, the rear area rises too high above the shoulders, and overall Master Chief appears "under-armored". Seems underdone. I know its a prototype but still.--Killamint 17:03, 13 February 2012 (EST)
I'll just leave this here and here...— subtank 17:07, 13 February 2012 (EST)

That looks pretty good even for a prototype, and he even has the unidentified weapon. Jac0bBau3r1995 09:01, 14 February 2012 (EST)

In Glasslands, Naomi-010 says that the Mark VII is lighter than the Mark VI. Obviously, the Mark VII wasn't introduced just for sake of the novel. --Courage never dies. 23:19, 14 February 2012 (EST)

Do you mean this is supposed to be Mrk VII? If so then its got the scare from Halo 3 so I'm fairly certain that's still VI Jac0bBau3r1995 08:46, 16 February 2012 (EST)

The scar could easily be a coincidence. It may even be an embellishment for the not-yet-finalized action figure. Frankly, this suit bears rather little resemblance to the Mark VI. Frankie has said that the changes to John's suit will have an in-universe justification; Occam's razor suggests that he was implying it's an entirely new suit. --Courage never dies. 09:20, 16 February 2012 (EST)
  • Okay I know what I said earlier but the latest image of the figure (John holding the grenade pistol) looks better. I wasn't feelin that first one. But here is another image I found (thanks to Halo4follower). I don't know how to upload the image so can somone do it and then tell me how they did it so I know for future reference? Thanks! --Killamint 13:10, 17 February 2012 (EST)
Slightly off topic, but if the big figure is holding the H4 MA5, it looks just like the H3 one, but with the MA37's large flash hider. Not complaining, I think H3's weapons look the best anyway. :) Alex T Snow 15:39, 17 February 2012 (EST)

Well the trailer has to be Mark VI right? It has the same gash. Jac0bBau3r1995 21:17, 17 February 2012 (EST)

The trailer, and the figure, is representative. For example, the Halo 3 reveal trailer, with the Chief emerging from the dust to see the Ark never happened that way in-game. I was disappointed about that, but that's a conversation for another talk page. My point is that it's meant to show us exciting stuff to get us excited, not represent the game in its final format. I'm sure we'll see how the Chief gets the new armour, how it gets the scar, and that it will make sense. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 22:47, 17 February 2012 (EST)
In 343 Sparkast 004, Frank O'Connor said that the events depicted in the Awakening trailer are "definitely not a part of the real game story". As Specops has stated above, the trailer depicts a (possibly very) loose abstraction of what really happens in the game. As 343i employees have stated a few times now, most notably in The Halo Bulletin: 2.15.12, John's appearance will undergo some drastic changes to make him seem more human and relatable. This does not mean that the Mark VI's appearance has been drastically retconned; it simply means that his armor looks different, which is much more likely to mean that he gets a new suit at some point. --Courage never dies. 16:50, 18 February 2012 (EST)

I just watched a video with O' Connor dropping some hints and when he mentioned MJONER he said "from Mrk II al the way up to Mrk- whoops almost gave away a secret," so there is a strong possibility that's viii Jac0bBau3r1995 03:14, 1 March 2012 (EST)
