Flawed Legacy is the seventh track in Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, Volume 1.

Overiew

The track begins with a chorus and a slow beat of maracas. After a dozen or so seconds (around 0:16 seconds), an electric bass enters with elements of Perchance to Dream from Halo: Original Soundtrack. Then, at around 0:32 seconds, an irregular drum beat mixes in and remains for the rest of the piece. The chorus and electric sound dies off, but the drumming continues until the end .

Appearances

This track plays in the level The Arbiter, when Thel 'Vadamee and the Covenant enter a room bisected by two Forerunner gas canister conveyors in the Threshold gas mine. It also plays during the Halo Legends episode Odd One Out, when John-117, Cortana, and Jacob Keyes discuss SPARTAN-1337's capabilities.

Arrangements

The piece was arranged into the first part of Cracked Legend in the Halo 2: Anniversary Original Soundtrack.
