Biography
Biography
On October 28, 2558, agent Sankar was killed in action during the fighting in New Hedmark on Laika III. After having defected from ONI, she was killed by her friend Bostwick, with the intention of her death serving as a martyr for the insurrectionist cause. Despite this, Sankar's brain was recovered by ONI and, per Black-Box's prediction, proved an ideal candidate to be used for the creation of a new AI. The creation of the Sankar AI seemingly occurred on the same day, and as such Sankar was one of the nine AIs within HIGHCOM Facility Bravo-6 in Sydney, Australia assembled by BB for transport, as to avoid the imminent Created attack on Earth. The other AIs included Gabriela, Tethys, and BB himself, with their data crystal chips placed inside a suitcase lined with C10 explosives.
Origins
On October 28, 2558, agent Sankar, while investigating anomalous occurrences on Laika III, was voluntarily killed by Bostwick, a member of the New Colonial Alliance. Sankar's brain was recovered and deemed an excellent candidate for AI assimilation.

As the attack on Earth began, at BB's request, Admirals Serin Osman and Terrence Hood were escorted out of the facility with the briefcase by Spartan Charles Orzel, fleeing to a hidden colony world called Rossbach's World. Upon arriving at the planet, BB agreed to share his space on Osman's data pad with the Sankar AI so that he could interrogate her for information about the Guardian emergences like the one on Laika III. As BB probed the newborn AI's memories, he learned of Maya Sankar's work as the insurrectionist leader "FERO", her manipulation of Benjamin Giraud, work with Mshak Moradi, and the events leading up to her death.
Leaving Earth
The AI was held at HIGHCOM Facility Bravo-6 in Sydney, Australia, until it and every other AI in the complex were secured for transport thanks to warning from Black-Box concerning the Created's plans. All of these AIs were extracted from Earth when Cortana took it over. Admiral Serin Osman brought them with her to Rossbach's World, where she allowed BB to interview the Sankar AI specifically about recent events in Maya's life, including her manipulation of Benjamin Giraud, work with Mshak Moradi, and ultimately and of most importance, her knowledge of and encounters with a Guardian and the devastation caused by one.

Ultimately though, the AIs remained in Osman's briefcase, with Osman given the choice to either destroy them or let them free, with the chance that they may join the Created. After a year of living in exile on Rossbach's World, Osman had yet to make a decision on the matter, though the choice was made for her on November 4, 2559 thanks to the sudden arrival of SPARTAN-II Gray Team, who had been deployed to Rossbach's World with the goal of securing the AI briefcase. For the Spartans, extracting the admirals was a secondary priority, though one they succeeded in, escorting them to the U81 Condor Zulu 079 for rendezvous with Victory of Samothrace.
When Gray Team arrived to extract Hood, Osman and Spartan Orzel over a year later, the case of AIs was still intact.
