Ritul was a part of [[Maccabeus]]' pack and served on the [[Covenant]] [[Covenant cruiser|cruiser]] ''[[Rapid Conversion]]''. Ritul piloted a {{Pattern|Dextro Xur|Spirit}}. He was one of the Jiralhanae that was sent to the "reliquary" world [[Harvest]] in Maccabeus' attempt to recover the [[Monitor|Oracle]] that was supposedly on the planet. He piloted the Spirit that carried Maccabeus, [[Vorenus]] and [[Licinus]] during the failed attempt to make peace with the [[human]]s.<ref>'''[[Halo: Contact Harvest]]''', ''page 213''</ref>

Later in the battle, he piloted a Spirit over [[Gladsheim]], while [[Tartarus]] manned the ships weapons. He was killed when [[Jotun Heavy Industries|JOTUNs]] flew into his craft, forcing him to crash land the dropship. Tartarus barely made it out alive. Ritul was trapped in the cockpit and subsequently burned to death, though Tartarus did make an attempt to save his life.
