Captain Renoir was the commanding officer of the prison ship Mona Lisa.
Biography[edit]
Renoir was the captain of the prison ship Mona Lisa when Major John Smith took over for his experiments with the Flood. Over the course of their weeks long slipspace journey, Smith barely saw him. When the Mona Lisa approached the Soell system on October 18, Renoir called Smith to the bridge and reported on the ship and crew's readiness. After the ship arrived, Renoir drew Smith's attention to the wreckage of Halo. With obvious anticipation for what was to come next, Renoir reported that several locations had been marked with a high probability of viable Flood samples and Smith gave the order for the next phase to be executed.[2]
Along with nearly all of the crew and prisoners, Renoir was killed or infected in the Flood outbreak that consumed the Mona Lisa.[1]
