Primary Pioneer Group

A Primary Pioneer Group (PPG) was a Forerunner organization that explored habitable planets. One was sent to G 617 g to provide a detailed report on the planet, but was reported missing after failing to send a follow-up report. Advance Survey Team - Alpha was sent shortly thereafter to investigate the PPG's disappearance, only to then disappear itself. A military detachment was sent to investigate both disappearances but instead encountered the Flood, which had assimilated both groups.[1]
