Noble Team was formed sometime after SPARTAN-III Beta Company graduated, with [[Catherine-B320]] being pulled from the company shortly before Operation: TORPEDO in [[2545#July|July 2545]].{{Ref/Site|Id=UniKat|URL=https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/universe/characters/kat-b320|Site=Halo Waypoint|Page=Kat-B320|D=18|M=10|Y=2021}} Eventually, she would become a founding member of Noble Team, along with [[Carter-A259]]—the leader of this new unit—and several other Spartans.{{Ref/Reuse|UniCarter}} The team fought to defend the [[Inner Colonies]] during the [[Siege of the Inner Colonies|Covenant sieges]] that characterised the war's later years:{{Ref/Book|Id=gc|Halo: Ground Command core rulebook|Page=12}} including the [[Defense of Concord|battle of Concord]] in [[2551]], the [[battle of Fumirole]] in [[2552]], and the [[Fall of Reach]] in late 2552.

In December 2551, Noble took part in [[Operation: OFFSET EYE]] on [[Concord]], working in unison with [[UNSC Army]] [[UNSC Army Rangers|Rangers]]. Following their success, [[Rosenda-A344]] was rotated out of the team and replaced with Emile, while the Noble Team was redeployed to the [[Volanus system]] due to suspicions that the Covenant would attack [[Fumirole]].{{Ref/Book|Id=Contention|Halo: Winter Contention}} By April 22 the following year the team were engaged at [[Fumirole]] and took part in an operation to destroy a [[Sanctity of Purification|Covenant cruiser]].{{Ref/Marketing|HR|Deliver Hope}} The operation was successful, but at the cost of Thom-A293. Following Thom's death, Noble Team was assigned to the Inner Colony of [[Reach]] to hunt down an off-world [[Insurrectionist|rebel]] leader.{{Ref/Reuse|gc}}  

Noble Team were involved in some of the earliest actions of the Fall of Reach on [[2552#July|July 24, 2552]]. On this day, the late-Thom's replacement, [[SPARTAN-B312]], joined the team, and the Spartans were deployed to investigate a communications disruption at the [[Visegrád Relay]], believed to be the site of an insurrectionist attack.{{Ref/Level|HR|Noble Actual}} However, during the mission they ended up being some of the first UNSC military forces on the planet to engage scouting forces of the Covenant's [[Fleet of Valiant Prudence]].{{Ref/Level|HR|Winter Contingency}} Two days later they were sent to [[First Battle of Sword Base|defend]] a key [[Office of Naval Intelligence]] facility [[SWORD Base]], and were debriefed by [[Catherine Halsey|Dr. Halsey]] afterward.{{Ref/Level|HR|ONI: Sword Base}} In the following weeks, Noble Team split up several times, forming smaller splinter teams.

Two and a half weeks later, Noble Team conducted a night-time reconnaissance mission in Covenant-occupied territory, assessing the Covenant's deployments on the planet.{{Ref/Level|HR|Nightfall}} The next day, they partook in the [[Battle at Szurdok Ridge]] along with numerous other UNSC units.{{Ref/Level|HR|Tip of the Spear}} After the [[Sh'wada-pattern supercarrier|supercarrier]] ''[[Long Night of Solace]]'' revealed itself, Noble Team came up with [[Operation: UPPER CUT|an operation to destroy the ship]]. The mission was a success, at the cost of Jorge-052 who sacrificed himself to destroy the supercarrier.{{Ref/Reuse|lnos}}

Jun left to escort Halsey to [[CASTLE Base]], while the rest of the team headed for the [[Asźod ship breaking yards|ship-breaking yards]] in [[Asźod]] to deliver the package.{{Ref/Level|Id=pack|HR|The Package}} Once there, Carter sacrificed his life by ramming his Pelican into a Scarab preparing to fire on Emile and Six. Noble Six eventually managed to deliver the package to [[Jacob Keyes|Captain Keyes]], while Emile was killed by a team of [[Sangheili Zealot]]s. Noble Six stayed behind, and ensured the ''Pillar of Autumn''{{'}}s successful escape by using a [[Mark 2488 Magnetic Accelerator Cannon|mass driver]] to destroy an approaching [[Ket-pattern battlecruiser|Covenant cruiser]].{{Ref/Reuse|tpoa}} Not long after, Six was eventually overwhelmed and killed by Sangheili warriors, leaving Jun as the only surviving member.{{Ref/Reuse|lonewolf}}

The [[NOBLE-class Mjolnir|NOBLE]], [[INTRUDER-class Mjolnir|Intruder]], [[VIGILANT-class Mjolnir|Vigilant]], [[WRATH-class Mjolnir|Wrath]], and [[INDOMITABLE-class Mjolnir|Indomitable]]-classes of the [[MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor (GEN2)|GEN2 MJOLNIR]] line were created and named in honor of them.{{Ref/Game|H5G}} By 2560, the team's last two surviving members-Jun and Rosenda-remained in contact and worked alongside one another during March's [[Battle of Nysa]].{{Ref/Novel|Id=BFTA2|Halo: Battle for the Academy - Part 2}}

The Noble Team logo, as featured in ''Halo: Reach'', was originally sourced from a royalty-free [https://www.youworkforthem.com/graphic/E0033/eagles vector icons pack] first-published in [[2004 (real world)|2004]].{{Ref/Site|URL=https://www.youworkforthem.com/graphic/E0033/eagles|Site=YouWorkForThem|Page=Eagle Graphics|D=26|M=03|Y=2025}} The symbol is used throughout Reach on a variety of vehicles and equipment including the [[Flag]] in multiplayer.

*Each Spartan-III's numeric tag is accompanied by a letter indicating their company of origin. Though the Spartan tags of the Spartan-III members of Noble Team were stylized in this fashion,{{Ref/Reuse|EVG}} the letters are not displayed in ''Halo: Reach'' and its promotional material; instead, their tags are shown with only three numbers without a preceding company tag. The only exception to this is in ''[[Birth of a Spartan]]'', where Carter's full tag is shown, though it is rendered as "a-259" rather than "A259". The letters were likely excised for the sake of brevity, both from an in-universe perspective and for the player's convenience.
