Michael Salvatori is an American producer and composer of music. He has worked closely with Martin O'Donnell to produce the music of the Halo series. His extensive involvement has included work on Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, as well as deep cooperation in the Halo: Original Soundtrack, Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, Halo 3: Original Soundtrack and the Halo 3: ODST Original Soundtrack. He also helped score and produce the Halo: Reach Original Soundtrack alongside Martin O'Donnell.

Salvatori went on to compose music for the Destiny series after his work on Halo, taking over as Bungie's primary in-house composer after O'Donnell was fired in 2014. In October 2023, Salvatori left Bungie in a round of layoffs at the studio. While Salvatori has never directly confirmed if he was laid off, his website was updated to read "Gone fishin' : )"
He left Bungie Studios at the end of October 2023. Information about his dismissal or departure is not yet clear. The composer himself has not commented on these reports, but Salvatori changed his website biography to remove all mention of his work at Bungie. In the place of the old bio is a line that simply says "Gone Fishin' :)".
