The Hailstorm is a variant of the [[Type-56D Needler]].

==Overview==
The Hailstorm is an upgraded variant of the standard Type-56D Needler.

The shell of the weapon is adorned with a red stripe and features [[Sangheili (language)|Sangheili symbols]] inscribed in white and a large one in red. The weapon is modified to fire the Subanese crystals faster, and the crystals have a stronger homing behavior, which allow them to tracks enemies from farther distances. It carries more crystals in its magazine than a standard ''Needler''.{{Ref/Reuse|H5G}}{{Ref/Reuse|analysis}}
