Checkpoint 8

Checkpoint 8 is a place located along the Tsavo Highway in the East African Protectorate, tens of kilometres west of Voi, Kenya and 134 kilometres east of Arusha, Tanzania.[1]

Checkpoint 8 is likely an Easter egg or reference by Bungie, as the campaign mission Tsavo Highway contains the eighth rally point in Halo 3.
In the pre-release build Halo 3 Epsilon, road signs in Tsavo Highway mentioned a location called Checkpoint 4 that was omitted in the retail build.[citation needed]
