Tactical eyepieces are small devices used by UNSC ground forces. Covering one eye, these devices are often attached to the helmet and are used to relay tactical information to the wearer. It primarily shows a heads-up display. It includes a green-colored semi-transparent screen where tactical information appears. This eyepiece was seen on UNSC Army troopers and UNSC marines during the Fall of Reach and the Battle of Installation 04, respectively.[1][2]

The eyepiece was inspired by the infrared filter eyepiece used by the Colonial Marines in the film Aliens
