Twyker is a sergeant in the UNSC Marine Corps.^[1]

Biography[edit]

Early military career[edit]

Twyker attended boot camp on Cyrus VII. There, he trained alongside James Ackerson. As a result of unknown events at boot camp, Ackerson owed Twyker money. While Twyker considered Ackerson an "asshole", he soon developed respect for Ackerson.

Battle of Cleveland[edit]

During the Battle of Cleveland in November 2552, Twyker was in charge of a Marine headquarters in the abandoned sewers of Old Cleveland, with a platoon-sized force under his command.

Ruwan Ackerson was taken to this base after informing the Marines who had rescued him that the Key of Osanalan, the object the Covenant were looking for in the area, was a fictional item made up by him and his brother, James Ackerson. Initially exceedingly hostile to the civilians and the Marines who had brought them into the secure location, Twyker agreed to listen when he realized who Ruwan's brother was.

After realizing the truth about the Key, he, along with Intelligence Operations Manager Wesley, devised a plan to misinform the Covenant that they had the artifact. Ruwan volunteered for the mission. Although Twyker initially opposed his involvement, he was persuaded to allow Ruwan to particpate. Ackerson was injected with Tykos 30, an organic tracking compound, which allowed the UNSC to destroy Harbinger of Piety, the flagship of the invading Covenant forces.^[1]
