Veta Lopis was a special investigator for the Gao Ministry of Protection until Blue Team arrived on the planet during Operation: JOVIAN WHISTLE, causing a chain of events that led her to be recruited by the Office of Naval Intelligence. Since then, Lopis has led a Ferret team of Spartan-IIIs on various espionage, investigation, and assassination missions. Most recently, Veta and her Ferrets infiltrated the Keepers of the One Freedom, an action which eventually led to their arrival at the Ark where they would find the UNSC Spirit of Fire and its crew combating the Banished.
