Genet was a car manufactured by HuCiv. It was the most popular personal transport in New Mombasa for three years preceding 2550. The New Mombasa Police Department also used the Genet as their primary vehicle.^[1]

Like many human vehicles, particularly those used by the UNSC, the Genet is named after an animal. A Genet is a small cat-like carnivore native to Africa.
The Genet is only seen in Halo 3: ODST. The license plates in the vehicles throughout the city contain multiple references to the characters of the series.
Multiple idle NMPD Genets are seen by the Rookie. Their drivers are most likely either dead, or possibly used as road blocks by the police in an attempt to delay the Covenant.
