Before the vehicle was deleted, it had a [[aIE-486H Heavy Machine Gun|chaingun]] in the back, and to man the chaingun, one had to sit in the "nausea seat", which faced backwards.
Interestingly, in the [[Halo Editing Kit]], there is an option for vehicle types, and one is 'human boat.' This is because [[Bungie]] had built in a boat function into the game engine, but the concept was never used.

The Doozy is a snowmobile in service with the United Nations Space Command. It is used for rapid movement over snowy terrain, particularly for medical transport, messaging, diversionary tactics, and evacuation. A rear-facing "nausea seat" can accommodate a passenger, much like the rear seat of the M274 Mongoose. However, the design is often seen as a hindrance.[1]
