Covenant frigate

Template:Ship The Covenant Frigate is a medium-tonnage warship, seeming to be among the smallest and most common warship classification among the Covenant's space fleets. These starships are equipped with multiple pulse lasers, three or more, and at least one Plasma Torpedo launcher on a lateral surface. They appear at most Covenant-UNSC engagements. They are larger than a UNSC Frigate or UNSC destroyer, but smaller than most UNSC cruisers (such as the Marathon-class), and like most other Covenant starships they have an overall bulbous shape.

Furthermore, the Sangheili also equipped their starships with anti-Plasma Torpedo "counterguiding signal" systems. The Jiralhanae also stole this technology during the Covenant Civil War and equipped some of their frigates, such as the Reverant, Twilight Compunction, and Tenebrous with such devices. However, they did not understand the full intricacies, or workings, of the system.

At the Battle of Reach, two covenant frigates made aslispace microjump to the UNSC Prowler Circumference which did not activate the Cole Protocol. The frigates then released dozens of Sangheili Rangers to recover the nav core.
