Chawla Base is an Office of Naval Intelligence military facility located in the city of Boston, Massachusetts in the United States[1], on Earth. It consisted of roughly 44 buildings and for a short period of time, housed the Deep-Space Artifact. It is possible that the name was inspired by Kalpana Chawla, an Indian-American scientist and NASA astronaut who was killed in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster on February 1, 2003.

Security levels
There are at least six Security Levels (possibly seven), each ascending with greater strength. They are alternatively referred to by colors.
