Charlie Platoon was a part of the UNSC Marine contingent aboard the UNSC Spirit of Fire in 2531. It consisted of several infantry squads and Spartan-II Red Team.[1]
During the Battle of the Etran Harborage, Charlie Platoon, along with Alpha Platoon and Bravo Platoon, was left on the planet's surface, trapped behind a canyon infested with Flood structure and biomass, when the UNSC Spirit of Fire was being pulled into the one of the many portals connecting the Shield World's surface to its interior. UNSC ground forces were able to destroy the Flood infestation between Charlie Platoon and UNSC firebase, but when the D77-TC Pelican flew towards the platoon's position, Flood swarms attacked the dropship, forcing Serina to abort the evacuation. Instead, under the leadership of Jerome-092, Charlie Platoon returned to the firebase on foot. The Marines were able to return to UNSC Spirit of Fire.[1]
Trivia
If Charlie Platoon is the second platoon to be rescued, Red Team will remain and help evacuate the final platoon.
