The ship was a frieghter in the UNSC commercial fleet and was used as a trap by Lieutenant Commander Jilan al-Cygni, with the help from Staff Sergeants Avery Johnson and Nolan Byrne. Though original it was lain for what was believed to be terrorists but was actually boarded by Jackals from the Minor Transgression, a Covenant exploration vessel. It dropped a ditress beacon later picked up by Sif. The boarders were beaten back and their ship destroyed, leaving the Discount damaged.
