Breakout was a multiplayer gametype in the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta, dedicated to the multiplayer maps Crossfire and Trench.[1] The 4v4 match begun with players being propelled into the arena with only a single life and an objective to eliminate the opposing team. Each two minute round ended when one team completes the objective. Five rounds were needed to win the game.[2] Players begun with reduced shields and started with M7 SMGs and M6H2 magnums. Weapons scattered throughout the map included the MA5D assault rifle and the BR85HB battle rifle.
