Battalion

A Battalion is a unit structure of the UNSC Army and Marine Corps[1] consisting of two to six companies, anywhere from 500 to one thousand men. This unit is generally considered the smallest unit able to conduct independent operations. A Lieutenant Colonel usually commands a battalion.
