From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Hey, I was just wondering something after looking at the Marine BDU page. Should the Halo: Reach 'marines' really be on this page? Because they're not Navy they're Army which means they cannot be Marines they must be Army Troopers. There's a picture at the top specifying them as Marines and the article section below shows Halo CE-era Reach marines and the updated ones in Halo: Reach. I'd be more than happy to carry out the changes if you think it best.
Thanks.
Hy, sorry to bother you again, but i found something weird while i was looking round. The page "Steve Scott" said that he was a 3d effects artist on Halo 3, and as a source was the Once More onto the breach vidoc. I watched and older halo 3 vidoc where the same person was called "Stephen Scott". To add to the confusion, the first page said that another guy, Steve Scott worked on Halo 2, while Steve Scott redirected to Stephen Scott. I believe Bungie spelled his name wrong in one of the vidocs, but which one?
I agree, he was probably referring to it as it was in a later development either as or just before being renamed Forward Unto Dawn. The K on the HC couldn't be a typo as it was never used before and so there would be nothing to be mistaken with. Nevertheless we should certainly make sure that the changes in its development between corvette and H3-era frigate to illustrate the changes something can make as it develops.
I'd like to point out that, being a non-canon entity, it is not necessary to update it with current canon material. Based on the quality of the image the ship's design was thought out to past the initial concept stage (brief discussions on its role and some preliminary sketches). From my observations the ship was designed as a corvette that would serve a significant role in Halo 3 (its HCS is 201, the same as the Forward Unto Dawn). I believe that the 'Halo 1-esque warthog run and crash into the cargo bay' concept was a late addition (judging by the small dimensions) that prompted a radical redesign away from the corvette (similar in design to Halo 2's In Amber Clad, though appearing more 'squashed') and into the lightly-armoured and bottom-heavy frigate we see in the finished Halo 3.
I think I'll make a new one. But first, I'll have to finish with making categories. Its weird how mainspace articles have a good quality while most images don't even belong to a category -.-
Hi there, I was wondering if there is an article template that leads to a page with additional images about that article. I found the one for quotes, but I can't find one for images (there are a couple of articles that need it). If there is one, can you send me its code?
Plus, can you delete this? It should have been gone some years ago but I forgot it and got buried :P Thank you.
Hey there, sorry for the continued questions but i've looked through the spartans linda, will and fred to see if they recieved Mk VI armor and none of them say anything about it, i just read first strike and it only states that they gained upgrades to their Mk V armor, and if they did gain Mk VI armor on earth wouldn't it be wise to mention that on their pages to stop confussion with who the SPARTAN II in the Mk VI armor is?
Could you please lock the Mgalekgolo/Gameplay page there is an ongoing edit war being caused by the same guy who started the edit war on the Sanghelli page Thanks
There's an issue with our rank insignia pages: Some of the UNSC Navy enlisted ranks pages use U.S. Navy insignia, when we know full well what the insignia should look like, based on this. The old Halopedia still has the images somewhere, deep in the edit histories. Is there a way to transfer those images here?
I know you do a lot of things for this Wikia, but thanks for your edit to the Halo: Cryptum page. I was wondering when someone would do that. :)
Hey there, just asking how it couldn't be the master chief in the background of the cover, i believe it could be since he is mentioned a few times in the book and shows up in the second chapter and plus he is the only SPARTAN-II to obtain the Mk VI armor, just saying it could probably be him.
Hy, sorry to bother you but i was wondering if we should have easter egg pages about the invisible data pad elite in Winter Contingency, and about the special locations on your radar like "Vaya Con Dios!" on powerhouse and "Space" in Condemned?
Would it be all right if I removed the "Human Weapons" category from the UNSC Infantry Weapons template? I've been trying to rationalise our categorisation system recently, and lumping all Human weapons into a single large category when they fit just as well into sub-categories seems counter-productive.
Dang, I think I had a couple hundred back at Wikia. But now because the transfer didn't include watchlists, I only have 40 or 50.
Re: All the edits you make to the most random pages: I have seen that you, as well as all the other admins; always manage to change to the randomest and most absolutely unpopular articles. So does that mean that you, along with all the other Admins, watch EVERY page?
Yeah - As I said, we merged them because they all happened in the Tsavo region. The pre-"The Storm" levels are an indirectly-related series of engagements. The real "opening" was when the forces within the town first met.
The problem is that the events from Sierra 117 to Tsavo Highway aren't related to Voi. Voi was a UNSC counter-strike operation, while the area 14km away was about the rendezvous and later evacuation of Crow's Nest. They were merged together as articles only because they happened in the Tsavo region.
Do you have a source for it being the "Battle of Voi"? It seems odd that it should be called that... seeing as much of it taking place over fourteen kilometers away.
