Siege of New Alexandria

Template:Under Construction Template:Battle The Raid of New Alexandria was a major engagement between the UNSC and the Covenant Empire. Major evacuations took place during the battle. It lasted for five days with the result being New Alexandria getting glassed.

Shortly after the destruction of the Long Night of Solace and subsequent reinforcements arriving in orbit Covenant forces began deploying a large Brute raiding force into New Alexandria which was heavily populated city. Many civilians were murdered by Covenant in this raid, leading to UNSC forces to organise an evacuation of the civilian through Traxus tower. At this point in the Raid the Covenant had place 3 Corvettes over the city and were preventing any ships of escaping. After having landing on the planet surface and having travelled towards the city Noble 6 arrived in the middle of the combat and assisted Army troops and ODST's in evacuation. Covenant forces had managed to capture and disable UNSC missile batteries which had been assigned to place cover over civilian ships, and Noble 6 supported by and Army unit managed to recapture and activate these batteries, damaging and forcing a withdrawl of a Covenant Corvette so the ships could escape.
