Anchor 9

Template:Ratings Template:New Content Template:Infobox Ship Class Anchor 9 was a UNSC space station in service with the UNSC Navy during the Human-Covenant War. It had multiple hangar bays, with several Sabre fighters stored inside. In addition, it had docking tubes for larger vessels such as Frigates.[1]
History
The station was in orbit around Reach during the Fall of Reach in August 2552, and was defended by Sabres during Operation: UPPERCUT. The station's defenses were off-line when the Covenant attacked, and a group of Sabres was deployed to repel the incoming waves of Banshees and later Seraphs. When the third wave of Covenant fighters arrived, Anchor 9's point defense guns came back online.[1]
Trivia
- Anchor 9 bears a remarkable resemblance to the Template:UNSCship, as depicted in the Birth of a Spartan short.
- The UNSC Savannah appears to be docked to Anchor 9 during the beginning stages of Opperation: UPPERCUT.
