Eiyaa-Mahtuhaa

The Eiyaa-Mahtuhaa, known to humanity as Angler, are lizard-like creatures that were native to Erebus VII.

Overview

Biology

Vaguely similar to lizards, they have horns, tails, and short legs and arms.

Use by other species

Study by humanity

After humanity discovered the Erebus VII, some juvenile of these creatures were captured and studied in an ONI research facility. They were detained in tubes filled with an orange fluid, where they remained after the facility was later abandoned.^[1]

Production notes

These species went unnamed till it was confirmed by Kelly Gay^[2] and Jeff Easterling on March 23, 2021 that they were the Anglers in the novel Halo: Point of Light.^[3]
