Game rank in Halo Wars 2 is the rank given to a player in-game. Halo Wars 2 offers two kinds of ranking scheme; a Competitive Skill Rank (CSR) similar to Halo 5: Guardians' Arena and an XP-based Spartan Rank more related to systems seen in Halo: The Master Chief Collection's updated rank scheme or that seen in Halo: Reach.[1]

CSR

Main article: Rank (Halo 5: Guardians)

CSR takes the form of a seasonal league structure, with a very similar organisation to the system employed in Halo 5: Guardians.

Spartan Rank

Spartan Rank is an XP-based rank scheme that levels a player up based on XP accumulated and gametime played. There are 99 levels to achieve, with each level-up earning the player a Blitz pack. XP can be gained by playing all gamemodes (such as campaign, Terminus Firefight, non-competitive playlists and others), and is not indicative of a player's skill level.[1]
