Sealant mesh is a Covenant medical technology.[1] It is as a thin sheet of bronze-colored material that, when properly affixed, will form a partial seal over wounds (allowing air to escape as the wounded person exhales but keeping it in when the person inhales). The mesh also contains a coagulant that helps keep the wounded person's blood inside their body.[1]

Sealant mesh is a temporary measure at best, and if given the time, most Covenant soldiers prefer to use an automated surgery suite.[2]

Sealant mesh is one of the medical tools contained in a portable aid station. it was first used by Maccabeus after the Jiralhanae's first contact with the humans on Harvest.
