A Banished automated turret deployed on Installation 07.

This automated turret is a stationary weapons platform used by the Banished during the Installation 07 conflict in 2560.[1]

Overview

The automated turret can be deployed on any surface. Upon detecting an enemy, the turret blinks red and fires projectiles at its target. These projectiles are similar to those fired by the Mangler.[1]

In-game information

Two ceiling-mounted Banished automated turrets are encountered inside the main control room at the Horn of Abolition. The turrets can be disabled by locating and destroying their power source which is hidden in an adjacent room.[2]

Four ground-mounted automated turrets are encountered at a Banished outpost that contains a Spartan Core in the "Connections" section of the campaign. Three turrets protect the outpost's entrance, while the fourth is hidden in a tunnel beneath the outpost. Unlike the turrets at the Horn of Abolition, these turrets can only be neutralized by destroying them.[1]
