Every Pelican has a name, a letter followed by a 2 to 3 digit number. The ones that appear in Halo 1 are E419, B22 (not seen), and V933. A Pelican is capable of transporting a Warthog or a Scorpion. Pelicans are occasionally armed with weapons, but it isn't often.
