Talk:War of Beginnings

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Shouldn't this be for a war, and not a battle? KamakaziSparow 20:47, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Wars and battles use the same template. --Ajax 013 21:07, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Actualy, they don't. For instance, look at the battle templete here, and the war templete at the San 'Shyuum Civil War page. KamakaziSparow 00:32, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I screwed up when I made the page, and used the battle template. Perhaps starting this article over and using the correct template would be best. P03 James 04:09, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Proposed Merge[edit]

Alright, who is for the merge of Prophet-Elite war and this page? Sign your name and state your reasons under the apropriate section.

For

  • KamakaziSparow. They cover the same subject, and should be merged. Besides, Sangheili-San 'Shyuum War is a much more factually accurate page. Edit: Agree with P03 James.
  • P03 James. Agree, but would prefer Prophet-Elite War merged into this page, not vice versa.

Extension[edit]

Added information from the San 'Shyuum page. Honestly, how long was it there? And nobody could copy-paste it? I don't even have Contact Harvest yet! Specops306, Kora 'Morhek 04:17, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Rename[edit]

Should we rename this article to "San'Shyuum-Sangheili War"? Halo: Broken Circle uses it as a proper name. - NightHammer (talk) 19:49, 28 October 2014 (EDT)

Rename 2[edit]

Shouldn't we rename it to War of the Beginings, as per Canon Fodder? - Draft227

Support[edit]

Broken Circle called it the "San'Shyuum-Sangheili War" multiple times (while we used to have the "San'Shyuum" and "Sangheili" the other way around in the name). So technically we have two canon names for it. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 09:29, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
  • I agree we should rename it, and Jugus is right, now we have two canon names for it. War of the Begginings could be it's name, and San'Shyuum-Sangheili War as one of the names the war is known as. (Draft227) 14:49, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
  • It's a retroactive name, but retroactive names are common, such as World War One being known as "The Great War" at first, or the Needful Maidens not being called that until centuries later. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 14:13, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
  • Guess it does sound better than "Faction-Faction War". --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 14:16, 25 October 2015 (EDT)

Why isn't the page already renamed? Everyone supports the choice while no one opposes it. - Draft227 14:33, 30 0ctober 2015
