This would make the officer part of the [[17th Marine Regiment]], which was already in Mombasa before the 405th showed up. Maybe the 17th is part of the 405th and wasn't stationed with the rest of the unit, I don't know. But that officer may not be part of the 405th, and the 77th might not exist. This is just speculation, but some changes may need to be made to the article. | ||
