O_O You've got to be joking...-5ub7ank(7alk) 11:45, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

But do we need this article? It's not exactly Halo-related, since no toilet has appeared in any of the games. :P CoH|Councillor]] Nicmavr - Ascy 'Vamal Light your way with honour! 11:47, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Apparently not... 12:28, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

You know, I remember most of you Veteran Users above me have advocated our all-inclusion policy on a number of articles. CommanderTony
Exactly. This is what Halopedia is not. Jora 'Mantak-Battlenet-Brothers-Combat History 15:10, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
That's the problem...-5ub7ank(7alk) 15:13, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

This is a pointless discution we all know that this has nothing to do with halo. 2K

DC, we know you like your attention to detail but this is bordering on the inane and absurd o.o Ajax 013 16:13, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

So, shouldn't it be deleted? CoH|Councillor]] Nicmavr - Ascy 'Vamal Light your way with honour! 16:16, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

there is a toilet in halo 3. On crows nest on the barracks there's a row of toilets on one wall. Not to clean either. Sgt.A.Johnson 16:34, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Yes, those. Those are in Halo. Also apparently "gravity toilets" are old-fashioned in 2552, suggesting some new technology. By the inclusionist policy, this applies. It applies more than Milk because it describes something that does not not exist in our world. --Dragonclaws(talk) 18:37, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Oh, that. I see. CoH|Councillor]] Nicmavr - Ascy 'Vamal Light your way with honour! 18:38, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Let's review the HP:NOT section:

Halopedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information

The content of Halopedia is based entirely of items that have been mentioned in the Halo universe. Though there are many potential items that could be included in Halopedia, they are not added because this may clash with future developed storylines.

An example of this is Neptune. Neptune is a world in the modern solar system that has not yet been mentioned in Halo. Its presence has never been implied or directly stated, yet we all know it to exist. Neptune does not have an article for two reasons; the first is that there is no information on Neptune that is related to Halo, so the article would be pointlessly short and have few links to Halo related items. Second, future storylines could reveal any number of fates for Neptune between modern times and the time in which Halo takes place. It could have been destroyed, or even populated. There is simply no way to know the fate of modern things in the Halo universe. Those things will never be known for sure until they are mentioned.

It applies specifically to things not mentioned in the Halo series. It was made to stop articles describing all planets in the solar system just because we had an article on the solar system that mentioned each of the planets. Someone thought 'we have an article for Earth and one for Mars, so why not the others?' The problem was that only Earth and Mars were mentioned at that time. Neptune wasn't mentioned, so it didn't have a place on Halopedia. Theoretically it exists in the Haloverse solar system, but that doesn't warrant a Halopedia article.

Toilets are mentioned in the Halo world. They are depicted in Halo 3. As rudimentary as the subject is, it has a place in Halopedia. In any case, that policy doesn't prove otherwise. --Dragonclaws(talk) 18:45, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

DC said it all! O_o - CoH|Councillor]] Nicmavr - Ascy 'Vamal Light your way with honour! 18:52, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

How about this. Someone goes along and gets a picture of the toilets in crows nest and sticks it on the page. Simple way to end things. get a picture of it. I would do it but my xbox is displaying E74 and i dont have and capture stuff so it would be take a picture of screen on a cameraSgt.A.Johnson 18:50, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Although that would give visitors and users a glimpse of how Toilets appeared in Halo 3, I don't think that would be necessary. The title of the article itself is self-explanatory.-5ub7ank(7alk) 18:55, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

I think you're just reacting poorly because the subject of the toilet is considered vulgar in our culture. Otherwise, it meets the criteria. It should be considered around the same level as Milk, Tea, Pizza, or Beans. I mean, the negative response surrounding this seems to be similar to that of Sexual Assault - not really about the encyclopedic content, but more of a gut-reaction "we don't want this vulgar content on this clean, wholesome site". --Dragonclaws(talk) 19:10, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

While the fruit may need to be merged into a big list, I think toilet, as weird as it is, is deserving of an article. Gravity toilets are a thing of the past. They generally don't use them anymore. This article describes something unique to the Halo universe. --Dragonclaws(talk) 17:56, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Picture[edit]

It would probably be better to get an image of the subject itself without a corpse on it. At this point it looks more like a bad joke than a serious attempt to illustrate an article. --Dragonclaws(talk) 19:31, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Seriously...[edit]

Is this article even nescessary? I don't think that we need an article on a toilet... Tyrone The mastermind would like to speak! 03:23, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

If you bother reading the previous discussion, you would have been aware that the majority decided to keep the article because of its uniqueness to the Halo Universe and notability/worthiness.(7alk) 03:26, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
I'm aware of the previous discussion. I just wanted to give the community my opinion on this article. Tyrone The mastermind would like to speak! 03:46, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Erm..[edit]

I must agree with the above comment, do we REALLY need this article? Im pretty sure we all know what a toilet is. It's just my opinion. ~ Gyaos2008

THANK YOU! I suggest a vote to officially decide this. Not just a few users having a small chat about it. With all due respect, of course. Tyrone The mastermind would like to speak! 04:28, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
Alright, but note that democracy isn't the point per se, and you haven't said anything that hasn't been said before. Also, please take a look at Blog:Please, Stop Being Human. --Dragonclaws(talk) 05:03, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
