Talk:M820 Scorpion

Variant or cannon[edit]

Yeah, I agree with Sith. The name most likely refers to the variant of the Scorpion. The "X" denotes that it is a prototype if I'm not mistaken (or at least something to that like). Then M820B4—the Hannibal Scorpion is the fourth variant of the M820B model, just as we have the M808B2 and 3. Then DEW (directed-energy weapon) refers to the cannon type, though it isn't included with the variant name we see on the Hannibal Scorpion here. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 11:53, 5 April 2016 (EDT)

The X does denote prototype. Pic of XM1 Abrams for reference. But yeah it's for the XM820B4 Scorpion not DEW.Sith Venator Mega Blastoise.gif (Dank Memes) 12:05, 5 April 2016 (EDT)
Yeah, thought so. So given that we don't have articles for the M808B2 and 3 (though I have been tempted to make articles for them), should we keep a page for the XM820B4 Scorpion or just list it in variants of the M820? --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 12:08, 5 April 2016 (EDT)
I think we should keep it list it as a variant of the M820; there's no enough info about the XM820 to deserve its own page. And BTW, sorry about the mistake I did about this. --They're coming. They're hungry. (talk) 12:57, 5 April 2016 (EDT)
No problem. There is a bit more info on the XM820 than the M808B and C, so if I (or someone else) do get around to making the articles, then i will probably make one for this too. Then again, I don't think there is enough info for any of them to warrant articles though. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 13:07, 5 April 2016 (EDT)
(reset indent) Can I just point out that the XM820B4 Hannibal Scorpion is almost effectively the same kind of upgraded battle tank design like or as the M145D Rhino in Halo Wars? Anyone else agree with this maybe? Wonder if this should be noted somewhere in the article. I personally feel like it should, as it is fairly prominent. And yes, I believe it to be completely canon, as part of the established Halo universe. --Shazamikaze, Halopedia Team Talk 15:55, 3 April 2018 (EDT)Shazamikaze
