Proof?[edit]

Where has this been mentioned? Has it been confirmed by Bungie or just spam/vandalism? -DinoBenn 00:47, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

It Is a deleted level. They cut out a portion of the level and turned into the multiplayer map "Guardian"
Where did you hear this? -DinoBenn 00:47, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
It is apparently mentioned in The Art of Halo 3. -- Administrator Specops306 - Qur'a 'Morhek Honour Light Your Way! 09:13, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Theories Concerning Level Placement[edit]

I present merely theories, not precise facts concerning the deleted Halo 3 level Guardian.

Assuming the Halo 3 level Guardian is located on the Ark, and has been infested by the Flood, the level could take place after the Halo 3 level The Covenant, when the Flood arrive on the Ark. Perhaps the Flood Infector Form would have appeared on Guardian.

Assuming the Halo 3 level Guardian is located on the Ark, and has not been infested by the Flood, the level could take place after the Halo 3 level The Ark.

Since the Guardian Sentinel is considered an enemy, and Mendicant Bias apparently controls or influences the Sentinels on the Ark, the level could take place after the Halo 3 level Floodgate. For example, it is unclear why the Sentinels on the Ark are not hostile to the humans, Elites, and Guilty Spark, but are hostile to the Covenant. Surely, there must have been a initial encounter or perhaps a skirmish before the events on the Ark to secure the Sentinels as allies.

Hmm...
  1. No Flood-related data on Guardian. Not even any tags for it. Unlikely that the original level was designed with the Flood in mind.
  2. A forest level seems like a reasonable interpolation between the sandy wastelands of The Ark and the beaches of The Covenant.
  3. Or 343 Guilty Spark simply had control over the Sentinels to begin with. There is no known Monitor for Installation 00; it's entirely possible that the Sentinels would simply listen to the first Monitor that showed up. File:DavidJCobb_Emblem.svg|16px]] DavidJCobb  01:06, October 29, 2009 (UTC)
