Marines or Spartans?[edit]

When I created this article, I didn't know whether to list them as Marines or Spartan-IVs. I only referred to the Peters article which states that he's a Spartan-IV. In the game however, correct me if I'm not wrong, the IFF tag you encounter is a body of a Marine with special gear right? For those who wants to do a quick reference, it's after you first obtain the Promethean Vision. — Hacame 11:55, 25 July 2013 (EDT)

Yup, I've noticed some issues with Peters. First, his body is indeed that of a Marine, and well, he was dead too. Second, his rank suggests he's from the Navy and not the Marine Corps, so he was likely one of those in charge of establishing forward bases, since the Infinity wanted to recon the area. As for the Bulldogs, I think they were simply Marines, as the player only finds dead Marines in the first part of the level and we dismissed Peters being a Spartan. I think it's more likely to be a joint unit, which often exists with the Infinity. For example in the following level, Lasky (representing the Navy) commands Gypsy Company which is made of Marines, Spartans, etc. There are also some joint units in Spartan Ops. At some point in the level Infinity, there is a recording in which a Marine adresses a Sergeant, so the soldiers in the swamps were not fromt the Navy, but either from the Army or the Marine Corps, I think the latter is more likely. I think that Peters was probably one of the Navy guys sent on the front, like Lasky, and was charged to command a squad. Imrane-117 (talk) 13:03, 28 July 2013 (EDT)
