In Halo Evolution (Novel) in the short story Midnight in the heart of Midlothian. The UNSC Destroyer The Heart of Midlothian's AI Mo Ye uses an autosurgeon on ODST Sergeant Mike Baird to rid-him of cancer. Later aftersurgery he wakes up to find the ship has been boarded by convert forces and he was seriously injured by an Elite. When he recovers from his black-out the AI says the autosurgeon was broken by the elite and even if it was not, her mind was splinterd and had to obey the Three Laws of Robotics as created by Isaac Asimov that she could not use it, becuase she did not have her full processing power since convert engineers had isolated her main primary self. ~ Awar
