Tactical packages are software updates for the [[MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor (GEN2)|MJOLNIR [GEN2]]] armor that increase a [[SPARTAN-IV program|Spartan's]] combat readiness and responsiveness. The Resistor tactical package was released alongside the Survivor [[Support upgrades|support upgrade]] as a [[Halo 4 Title Updates#Title Update 8/19/2013|free update]] for all ''Halo 4'' players on [[2013#August|August 19, 2013]] - one day prior to the release of the [[Champions Bundle]].{{Ref/Reuse|Resistor}} Due to it being implemented after the game's launch, neither armor mod (nor any of the other Champions Bundle content such as the [[Steel Skin Pack]] or [[Infinity Armor Pack]]) were available for use in [[Spartan Ops]] - if the player has them equipped in their loadout, the game simply reverts back to "None".

For similar reasons, none of the Champions Bundle content was included in ''[[Halo: The Master Chief Collection]]'' at launch in [[2014]]. However, the Resistor tactical package (alongside Survivor support upgrade) was added into the ''Halo 4'' component of the collection in the ''Master Chief Collection'' December 2022 update, as part of ''Halo 4''{{'}}s tenth anniversary.
