Unified Combined Military Boot Camp, or UCMB, is the initial recruit training to which new United Nations Space Command recruits are sent following enlistment.[1]

Its name suggests that recruits from all four UNSC service branches, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, attend UCMB. Recruits were administered tests designed to evaluate their skills at UCMB. The CPST evaluated a recruit's physical fitness while the CAST assessed their proficiency with firearms. Recruit's also received a score known as a GWAS which analyzed their command potential. Following graduation from UCMB a recruit may be required to complete additional training; for example, UNSC Navy recruits require six additional weeks of vacuum and microgravity training.[2]

Note

  1. ^ It is likely that a UCMB facility is maintained on Cyrus VII, as James Ackerson and Twyker attended boot camp there together yet served in separate branches, the Army and the Marine Corps, respectively.
