Overview

The commission was headed by the major armor defense companies and sponsored by the Office of Naval Intelligence. Shortly after the Human-Covenant War the Commission validated the need for specialized, defense-centric armor variants. These would be used for the protection of civilian populations rather than the assault of enemy strongholds. In response, Imbrium Machine Complex developed the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Defender variant. Which followed the various strictures of the Commission's rulings, but remained an effective combat system.[1] Due to the armor's proven performance the Commission made an exception for the Mark VI GEN1.[1] The Commission also approved the exploration by Hannibal Weapon Systems for a MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Rogue GEN2 variant.[1] Due to the cost of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Oceanic variant its operation requires level-four Ordnance Commission approval.[1] As a result of the Commission Imbrium Machine Complex took control of oversight and production of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Recon variant. They refined and improved the existing architecture for SPARTAN-IV use.[1]
