The Ordnance Commission is a UNSC committee that took place May 2553.[1]
Overview
Shortly after the Human-Covenant War the Commission validated the need for specialized, defense-centric armor variants. These would be used for the protection of civilian populations rather than the assault of enemy strongholds. In response, Imbrium Machine Complex developed the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Defender variant. Which followed the various strictures of the Commission's rulings, but remained an effective combat system.[1] Due to the armor's proven performance the Commission made an exception for the Mark VI GEN1.[1] The Commission also approved the exploration by Hannibal Weapon Systems for a MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Rogue GEN2 variant.[1]
