Sigrid Eklund served in the [[UNSC]] [[UNSC Army Rangers|Army Rangers]] during the [[Human-Covenant War]], working behind the lines on [[Covenant]]-occupied worlds alongside [[human]] resistance groups.{{Ref/Site|Id=CFLore|URL=https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/canon-fodder-lore-of-the-jungle|Site=Halo Waypoint|Page=Canon Fodder - Lore of the Jungle|D=06|M=05|Y=2022}} In [[2551|December 2551]], Sergeant Eklund and her Army Rangers were deployed to support the UNSC's [[Defense of Concord|defense]] of [[Concord]]. On December 6, Eklund's troops managed to neutralize the Covenant's last emplacement in the [[Caravelle province]], with two [[M9 Wolverine]]s being lost to [[Banshee]]s in the process. After this skirmish, Eklund and her Rangers planned to move out and rendezvous with local [[Concordian militia]] groups at a [[mass driver]] station, hoping that the militias would welcome them. Eklund's experience in the Army Rangers saw her recruited into the [[SPARTAN-IV program]] after the war. By [[2554|December 11, 2554]] Eklund was attached to [[Fireteam Crimson]], where she excelled during operations [[Operation: BELLINGHAM|BELLINGHAM]] and [[Operation: LATE TAXI|LATE TAXI]]. Following these assignments, [[Jun-A266]] recommended Eklund to [[Musa Ghanem]] for more isolated endeavors. ===Camber===
During the [[Created conflict]], between [[2559]] and [[2560]], Spartans Eklund and Dinh were deployed to one of several [[Banished]] shipbreaking yards in the [[Chiltift Basin]] on [[Camber]].{{Ref/Reuse|CFLore}}{{Ref/Reuse|S2StoryHub}}{{Ref/Reuse|S2Intel}} This particular facility was a former UNSC fleet depot housing the hull of [[FFG-201 (Breaker)|FFG-201]] and taken under Banished control.{{Ref/Reuse|CFLore}} Eklund and Dinh began scouting out the location, using intermittent dust storms as cover. At some point, the two Spartans spilt up and Eklund began to believe that there was something more going on at the shipbreaking facility.{{Ref/Reuse|S2StoryHub}}{{Ref/Reuse|S2Intel}} After watching the operation for two days, both Spartans discovered [[Iratus]], the first Banished AI in existence, alongside an archive detailing the entirety of Banished operations on the moon. Eklund and Dinh were discovered by Banished forces and managed to hijack an [[Eklon'Dal Workshop Phantom]], but Iratus followed them into their hijacked Phantom, threatening their escape. To have a chance to escape, Dinh allowed Iratus to infect his [[neural interface]], leaving him in a comatose state.{{Ref/Game|Id=LW|HI|Season 02: Lone Wolves}}

Eklund managed to bring the Phantom into the [[Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science]], where she informed Spartan Commander [[Laurette Agryna]] about their mission on Camber and the events behind Dinh's situation.{{Ref/Reuse|LW}} During a target practice, she would met one of the Spartans who saved Dinh's life, and gave to her Spartan comrade lessons about how the Lone Wolves operate.{{Ref/Reuse|Alpha}} Following Spartan Dinh's recovery, the two met to talk about Iratus and the traumatic memories he forced Dinh to relive. Eklund comforted him and urged him to ignore Iratus's words. She then introduced Dinh to "[[Rook]]", one of the Spartan recruits who helped save his life.{{Ref/Reuse|EM}}

===Attack on Nysa===

On [[2560#February|February 29, 2560]], Iratus escaped his confinement in the academy's servers and proceeded to take control of the installation's network, pillaging the databanks for information and calling the Banished for help. When the attack began, Eklund initially tried to halt the AI's spread through the system in the base's AI lab, though was instructed by Commander Agryna to round up essential personnel for evacuation. She brought Spartans [[Page]] and [[Ionescu]] with her to the vehicle depot before travelling to the [[hangar bay]] with them. She coordinated the loading of the only slipspace-capable transport on the base, an old {{Class|Zheng He|courier}} ship, though the ship was ultimately destroyed when Iratus took control of the base's [[surface-to-air missile launcher]]s and fired them at the hangar. Eklund escaped the carnage mostly unscathed.{{Ref/Reuse|BFTA1}}

The Banished attack came on March 3, 2560, in the form of the [[New Colonial Alliance]] aboard their [[Banished dreadnought|dreadnought]] ''[[Ghost of Kholo]]'', led by [[Ilsa Zane]]. Zane initially offered to meet Commander Agryna for a parley in the [[Hesychius Mountains]], which Eklund joined as one of Agryna's bodyguards. The group refused Zane's offer of surrender, and the Banished began their invasion of the world. Alongside Agryna and Dinh, Eklund was able to fight her way through the base, eventually coming into contact with some of the [[Riftborn]] operatives sent from Anvil to reinforce their position. However, by this point the only survivor of the group they encountered was Spartan [[Adrian Vesco]]. Ultimately, Eklun and the other three Spartans were successfully extracted from Nysa by [[Jun-A266]] and [[Rosenda-A344]], who used Pelican ''[[Bravo 198]]'' to ferry the group back to {{UNSCShip|Fearful Symmetry}} and from there, to [[Anvil Station]].{{Ref/Reuse|BFTA2}}

Eklund employs the [[MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor|Mjolnir]] [[RAKSHASA-class Mjolnir|Rakshasa]] armor with a [[Stribog]] helmet equipped with the HUL-I/RS/ROSEKEY. She wore the SAP/HVISTLA PLATING on her right shoulder and the IRONGRIP RAILS shoulder pad on her left one.
