The Focus Rifle was a weapon first introduced in Halo: Reach.

In Halo: Reach, the focus rifle used is the M'tara-pattern focus rifle, a Sniper used by the Covenant that fires a continuous purple-tinted beam of magnetically contained plasma, similar to that of Sentinel beams.
