The Assault Rifle is a human infantry weapon featured in Halo: Reach. As with prior iterations of the weapon, it is one of the most common guns in the game.
Universe and lore[edit]

The assault rifle featured in Reach is the MA37 assault rifle, a 7.62x51mm fully-automatic rifle manufactured by Misriah Armory. Unlike the MA5B and MA5C assault rifles found in prior games, the MA37 is predominantly used by the UNSC Army.[2]
