Orbit Books is a branch of Hachette Book Group, which itself is a division of Hachette Livre. It specializes mainly in science fiction and fantasy books.
Orbit Books was responsible for the republishing of Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: The Flood by William C. Dietz and Halo: First Strike by Eric Nylund. Afterward, publisher Tor Books took over the publication of the next several Halo novels.
