William Corey Dietz (January 30, 1945 - March 15, 2026) was an American science fiction author who has written numerous works in the genre. He was responsible for penning Halo: The Flood, a novel adaptation of Halo: Combat Evolved released in 2003. Outside of Halo, Dietz also authored numerous original works alongside books for Star Wars and Mass Effect.
Dietz passed away in March 2026.[2]
