After being captured by [[Mendicant Bias]], the [[rampancy|rampant]] [[ancilla]] in control of the Halo, Forthencho's imprint was removed from Chakas and placed into a [[monitor]] shell; the same procedure was done to many other humans who also carried archived human memories. Mendicant Bias promised the ancient humans revenge on the Forerunners, if their former carriers cooperated with it in saving the Halo from an impending collision with [[Wolf-faced planet|a planet]]. Due to his hatred of the Forerunners and his desire for revenge, Forthencho was enthusiastic to accept Mendicant's offer; however, it is evident he was never truly in control and Mendicant Bias was only using him as a puppet to manipulate the humans into saving the ring.<ref>'''Halo: Primordium''', ''page 318''</ref> He gave a rousing speech to his resurrected comrades and planning that after saving the Halo, they could use it and Mendicant's vast resources to strike against the Forerunners. The plan ultimately failed as the [[IsoDidact]]'s fleet retook Installation 07 soon after. While Chakas was still undergoing the conversion process, Forthencho's consciousness accompanied him and the IsoDidact as the latter interrogated the Primordial. By the end of the [[Forerunner-Flood war]], the [[Gravemind]] had gained access to another copy of Forthencho's stored essence, along with those of three of his warriors. The Gravemind used these essences to deliver a message to the [[Librarian]], who had deliberately stranded herself on [[Earth]] before the firing of the [[Halo Array]]. The essences were imprinted over human bodies, corrupted by the Flood in a way that they would rot the bodies from within, only allowing them to survive long enough to convey the Gravemind's message. The Gravemind told Forthencho of the extent of the Precursors' power, their history dating back billions of years, and the truth about the [[Domain]] as a Precursor creation to store all of their knowledge. While failing to understand or express a large portion of the sheer vastness of this knowledge, Forthencho conveyed the message to the Librarian to his best ability. The revelation led the Librarian to conclude that the Domain was in fact the mythical [[Organon]], and that the activation of the Halo Array would destroy it along with all Precursor architecture. After being composed, Forthencho's essence was sent to the outer boundaries of the [[Domain]], although his experience was different to the rest of the [[Ancestors]] who took tens of thousands of years to pull themselves together into a complete presence. This was because of how the Forerunners ripped Forthencho's conciousness from his body, forced it into their neural pattern, copied him, studied him, forced him into others, and pulled Forthencho apart, leaving fragments too numerous to recover. As a result, although time moved differently in the outer boundaries of the Domain, Forthencho had only recently become as whole as he could be by the time that the [[Ur-Didact|Didact]] was composed himself in [[2557]].{{Ref/Reuse|Epi22}}

==Personality and traits==
Forthencho was a great warrior and leader, as evidenced by his title and leadership of humanity against the threats of the [[Forerunner]]s and the [[Flood]]. The [[Ur-Didact|Didact]] possessed a great deal of respect for Forthencho as a fellow warrior despite them being enemies.{{Ref/Reuse|p234}} During the war, Forthencho was an unseen, ferociously stubborn tactical genius as he battled the Didact for decades. A hundred thousand years later, he was still the leader of the humans in the [[Domain]] with the Didact considering him to be the "eternal commander" of humanity.{{Ref/Novel|Id=Epi|Epi|26}}

The imprint of Forthencho inside of [[Chakas]] was vengeful against the Forerunners and showed disdain at how far humanity had fallen from their former glory. He went so far as to ally with [[Mendicant Bias]] and the [[Flood]] in order to get revenge upon the Forerunners.{{Ref/Reuse|pri301}}

In the [[Domain]], Forthencho at first confronted and even attacked the Didact over his actions.{{Ref/Novel|Id=Epi15|Epi|15}} However, the two ancient enemies were able to find peace with each other, if even an uneasy one, when they were united by the common threat of [[Cortana]] to the galaxy.
