The UNSC Red Horse was a Prowler present in October 2552 to survey the debris field of the destroyed Installation 04. It arrived in-system some time after the Covenant fleet and High Charity had departed.
During their stay they picked up several escape pods and Cryo-chambers from the UNSC Mona Lisa. None of the occupants were alive, except for one man that manged to escape from the prison ship who died shortly after. The Captain was ordered to send a squad of 18 marines to Mona Lisa to investigate right before a Covenant ship arrived making any backup impossible. Eventually it was discovered that the Mona Lisa suffered from a strange infection and the Red Horse was forced to destroy it by use of Shiva-nuclear missiles. [1]
The prowler had a six-year old onboard A.I called Rebecca that strangely enough, right before the mission, had replaced the fully functional three-year old, more likable A.I Chauncey.
Trivia
- The ship's name may be a reference to one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, War, said to ride a red horse.
