UNSCMID, presumably short for "UNSC Military Identification," is a numerical identification assigned to members of the UNSC armed forces. Very similar, but apparently not equivalent, to the Service Number, the UNSCMID consists of seven, eight, or nine numbers and is unique for every serviceman.[Note 1]
