Strung is the seventeenth track (Disc 1 Track 17) in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary: Original Soundtrack.

Overview[edit]

As the only track that features the choir ending to the Halo Theme, the track is an arrangement of the Halo Theme from Halo: Original Soundtrack, albeit accompanied by electric guitar riffs and with the opening Gregorian chant omitted. The original track from Halo: Combat Evolved, which played in the final section of campaign level Keyes, was omitted from the original soundtrack.

Appearances[edit]

The track plays in place of the its unreleased classic counterpart in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, during the final section of Keyes, when Cortana directs John-117 to a Type-26 Banshee to escape from the Truth and Reconciliation.

In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, an orchestral version (which omits the electric guitar) plays in the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary campaign menu.
